AGRICULTURAL & SOCIAL SERVICES FOR UPLIFTMENT OF RURAL ECONOMY (ASSURE FOUNDATION) is an initiative of seasoned & matured professionals aiming to help re-engineer economic activities in rural India to realize the dream of Healthy, Happy and satisfied life.

Indian Agriculture is in the midst of revolution for modernizing the farming systems to international standards alongside the pressure to retain traditional agricultural systems. Productivity has increased but still there are vast regional imbalances and quality gap. Small and marginal farmers are losing their voice. New concepts like warehouse receipts, cold chains, logistics, multi-commodity exchanges, rural business hubs, organic certification, agriculture and food parks etc. are emerging but is not able help small individual farmer.Under these two diagonal pressures, farmers are not finding real partner and friend to depend on their advice. Under the scenario, it is important to muster faith and confidence of farmers and enable them to join initiatives as a group. It needs to be ensured that reliable quality inputs and services are provided at reasonable cost and ways are worked with them to deal with their surplus produce for maximizing the gains for farmers.

Agribusinesses are ready for modernizing the systems to meet quality requirements for exports, processing, marketing and retailing. However, acceptable system to deliver benefit to farmers retaining their ownership and pride is under question mark. Collective farming systems through co-ordination of farm activities - access to quality inputs, information about modern production techniques, harvest and post-harvest management, processing and marketing need to be redefined and realigned to be acceptable to the farmers.

Recognizing the benefits of improved farming systems for quality of produce and improving farm productivity, government is all out to partner in upgrading the systems through innovative approaches but confidence of farmers in systems is missing. They have unknown fear of losing the ownership and pride. Honest confidence-building measures are required with an inclusive approach of development and demonstrated to ensure that the farmers and rural population is not left out in growing India.

The foundation aims to play a catalyzing role in the ongoing agricultural revolution to introducing modernity with traditional farm holdings with collective approach and inclusiveness for sustainability. ASSURE will endeavor to help in bridging the GAPs through technical support, creating network and resources combined with out of the box thinking to identify successful practices and models on the ground as a partner and friend of farmers naturally.
